WE ARE COUNTING DOWN THE MONTHS UNTIL JUPITER FIRE RESCUE BEGINS PROVIDING FIRE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY.
TONIGHT, I WILL PROVIDE AN UPDATE ON OUR RECRUITING AND OUR HIRING, AS WELL AS THE PROGRESS OF OUR FIRE STATION CONSTRUCTION.
THIS SLIDE REPRESENTS A TIMELINE OR A FINAL YEAR OF IMPLEMENTATION.
I'LL JUST GO THROUGH IT REAL BRIEFLY.
AGAIN, FINAL YEAR OF IMPLEMENTATION. VERY EXCITING.
WE'RE IN NOVEMBER RIGHT NOW, AND AS YOU CAN SEE BY DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, OUR TWO NEW FIRE STATIONS ARE THEY'RE COMING UP JUST NICELY.
THE TOPPING OFF CEREMONIES WERE LAST WEEK AND THEY'LL BE THIS THURSDAY FOR BOTH OF THEM, CINQUEZ AND PIATT.
IN JANUARY OF 2026, OUR AMBULANCES, OUR FIRE RESCUE AMBULANCE WILL BE HERE.
IN APRIL 2026, OUR FIRE ENGINES WILL HAVE BEEN DELIVERED, BOTH TWO ENGINE,

AND A SQUAD TYPE ENGINE IN MAY OF 2026, OUR NEW FIRE STATIONS AND OUR TEMPORARY STATION WILL BE ONLINE.ALSO IN MAY OF 2026, OUR LADDER TRUCK WILL BE DELIVERED.
IN JUNE OF 2026, ALL FIREFIGHTERS WILL BE ON BOARD.
IN JULY OF 2026, AND IN TWO, AUGUST OF 2026, PHASE 1 AND PHASE 2 OF OUR TRAINING PROGRAM WILL BE IN FULL OPERATION.
FOLLOWING SEPTEMBER, GOING RIGHT TO THE END OF SEPTEMBER WILL BE FULLY OPERATIONAL TO TAKE OVER SERVICES IN OCTOBER 1 OF 2026.
THERE WAS SOME SPECULATION ABOUT WHETHER WHO WOULD BE ABLE TO WANT TO JOIN JFRD AT SOME TIME AGO.
TODAY, THE ANSWER IS UNMISTAKABLE.
THE STRONG NUMBER OF APPLICANTS FOR EVERY POSITION WE POSTED, THE LARGE GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS ON OUR INTEREST LIST AND THE OUTSTANDING TEAM WE'VE ALREADY ASSEMBLED MAKE ONE THING VERY CLEAR.
PEOPLE ARE EAGER TO BE PART OF JUPITER FIRE RESCUE.
WE'VE ASSEMBLED A GREAT TEAM SO FAR, AND WE HAVE SO MANY GREAT PEOPLE THAT ARE COMING IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE.
OVER THE NEXT SIX MONTHS, WE WILL BE HIRING 98 NEW PERSONNEL.
WE'RE MANAGING OUR HIRING IN TWO PHASES.
IN THE FIRST PHASE THAT IS UNDERWAY RIGHT NOW, WE ARE FILLING SOME OF THE KEY LEADERSHIP AND ADMINISTRATIVE ROLES.
IN THE NEXT PHASE THAT STARTS IN DECEMBER, WE WILL BE RECRUITING AND HIRING OUR OPERATIONAL STAFF.
WE'VE COMPLETED THE RECRUITING AND SELECTION PROCESS FROM SOME OF OUR KEY LEADERSHIP AND ADMINISTRATIVE ROLES, AND WE HAVE OFFERS OUT FOUR, OUR EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT POSITION WITH AN ANTICIPATED START DATE OF 1 DECEMBER, THREE BATTALION CHIEFS WITH AN ANTICIPATED START DATE OF JANUARY 11, AND A TRAINING CAPTAIN AND AN EMS CAPTAIN WITH AN ANTICIPATED START DATE OF JANUARY 26 OF 2026.
WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO THESE KEY MEMBERS JOINING OUR TEAM AND HELPING US TAKE THE NEXT PHASE OF OUR RECRUITING AND HIRING FOR OPERATIONAL PERSONNEL.
THE SECOND PHASE OF OUR RECRUITING AND HIRING, WHICH BEGINS IN DECEMBER WILL BE FOR AN ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST WHO WILL SUPPORT OUR OPERATIONS DIVISION, AND 90 OPERATIONAL PERSONNEL TO INCLUDE 12 FIRE RESCUE CAPTAINS, 12 FIRE RESCUE LIEUTENANTS, AND 12 DRIVER ENGINEERS WITH AN ANTICIPATED START DATE OF MAY 11, 2026.
NEAR THE END OF DECEMBER, WE'LL BEGIN ADVERTISING FOR 54 FIREFIGHTER EMT AND OR FIREFIGHTER PARAMEDICS, ALL WITH THE ANTICIPATED START DATE OF JUNE 1, 2026.
WITH OVER 1,000 PEOPLE WHO HAVE PUT IN AN INTEREST CARD TO WORK AT JFRD, AND WITH THE INCREDIBLE QUALITY OF THOSE WHO ALREADY WORK HERE, WE ARE EXCITED ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITIES IN THIS NEXT PHASE OF THE RECRUITMENT AND HIRING.
WE ARE ALSO EXCITED AND ANXIOUS TO GET OUR ENTIRE TEAM ON BOARD TO ESTABLISH THE BEACON OF EXCELLENCE IN FIRE SERVICE RIGHT HERE IN JUPITER.

IT'S NOT JUST THE MEMBERS OF JUPITER FIRE RESCUE THAT ARE BUILDING THIS DEPARTMENT, IT'S EVERYBODY IN THE TOWN.
WE'RE JUST SO HONORED EVERY DAY TO BE JOINING THAT CULTURE THAT WE SEE EVERY DAY HERE. LET ME START WITH THAT.

TODAY WAS ONE OF OUR MEETINGS WHERE WE BROUGHT IN THE WHOLE TEAM AND WE WENT OVER OUR TENTATIVE PLAN OF WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE.
IN GENERAL, THE BASIC LAYOUT IS THIS, FOR THE FIRST PART OF THE MAY WHEN WE HIRED THE OFFICERS AND THE FIREFIGHTERS, THE OFFICERS, WHICH IS THE CAPTAINS AND LIEUTENANTS AND THE DRIVERS.
FOR THREE WEEKS, THEY'LL BE GETTING THEIR OWN TRAINING ON THEIR OWN IN TERMS OF OFFICER DEVELOPMENT, LEADERSHIP, CULTURE, BASICALLY CATERING TO THEM AS THE OFFICERS WHO WILL NOT ONLY LEAD THESE INDIVIDUALS AND COACH AND MENTOR THEM, BUT ALSO BE PART OF THE TRAINING CADRE THROUGH THE REST OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM.
THE REMAINING OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM AFTER THAT, STARTING IN JUNE, WHEN THE FIREFIGHTERS ARE HIRED, WILL BE A COMBINATION OF BASICALLY ONBOARDING FROM A CRAWL TO A WALK TO A RUN TRANSITION.
WE'RE WORKING ON THAT TRANSITION RIGHT NOW.
WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THE PROGRAM AND WHATNOT.
WE'RE BUILDING IT AS WE SPEAK.
THE IDEA OF IT IS BASICALLY MODULIZING IT, OR MODULARIZING IT.

THAT WE'LL SERVICE THOSE ONE CALL A DAY PER MUTUAL AID AT NO COST, AND THE COUNTY, AT LEAST FOR THE FIRST YEAR, SAID, WE'RE GOING TO KEEP IT OPEN AND SPEND THE MONEY, WHICH IS A STUNNER, BUT NONETHELESS.
JUST SHARE A FURTHER PERSPECTIVE SO WE'VE OFFERED THAT.
THEY HAD ONE STATION SERVICING ALL THE CALLS AND WE COULD DO THE SAME, BUT THEY DON'T WANT TO DO IT.

NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN, WE HAVE ONE ENTITY THAT IS IN A FINANCIAL BIND BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO TAKE MUTUAL AID HELP FROM THEIR NEIGHBOR, AND THEY'RE TRYING TO, PUSH SOMETHING LIKE THIS THROUGH, SO I'M COMPLETELY OPPOSED TO IT.

TO ENSURE RESIDENTS HAVE ACCESS TO THEIR PROPERTIES DURING THE TWO WEEK PROJECT, A BYPASS ROAD HAS BEEN CREATED THAT WILL CONNECT THE SOUTH END OF CARVER AVENUE TO THE NEW CINQUEZ PARK ACCESS ROAD.
AGAIN, LIVING UP TO THE PROMISES THAT WE MADE THAT COMMUNITY ABOUT GIVING THEM THAT ACCESS AND THAT CUT THROUGH.
